Cheapest days to fly & Cheapest airline
With the pressure of rising gas prices, bad economy, and less spare time in peoples’ lives, it is becoming harder and harder to find a good deal on plane tickets. Plane tickets aren’t the only things suffering, there are also tremendous hikes on hotels, ground transportation, and even tolls. If you’re going to travel, you might as well save cash and fly on the cheapest day possible.
The cheapest days to fly are certainly Tuesday and wednesday. According to Cheapest days to fly , they are the cheapest days to fly because there are a much larger amount of people taking trips on all the other days. If you want to save cash on air travel, it would be best to fly on tue and wed.
Even if you cannot fly on the cheapest day, be sure to attempt to fly on another day that isn’t quite cheap but not the most expensive. Friday without a doubt is probably the most expensive day to fly on. This can be for a number of reasons such as: being the end of the week, avoiding the unfinished tasks of mid-week, having to take less “personal days” from work, and even just because it is the last day of the week.
One major reason NOT to fly on friday is………TRAFFIC! Have you ever been late to something on a friday just because of the sheer number of people trying to get home and begin their weekend? I know I sure have! I highly suggest you skip the nuisance of commuting to an airport on friday just because it isn’t worth risking being late or even potentially missing your flight.
Best airline?
This question gets asked quiet frequently. The truth is that there really isn't an answer to this question. Flight prices change every single day! One day you may find a ticket that is dirt cheap and if you go check the price again the next day, it may just skyrocket. Plane tickets are like stocks, you can't really predict them. Your best bet for finding the cheapest airline is just check them all. There are plenty of free tools online that allow you to check out flights for multiple airlines at once such asOrbitz or CheapTickets. I recommend you use them both if you want to find the absolute cheapest prices for your tickets. When you do find a dirt cheap price, it's probably a good idea to book your tickets because you just don't know how long that price will stay in effect.
